Lecturer:
Prof. Luc Janss, Aarhus University, Denmark
Introduction of Lecturer:
Dr. Luc Janss’smain research competence is to design and implement new statistical analysis tools for advanced data analyses, with a main focus on genetics and biomedical data analysis and use of Bayesian tools. Dr. Janss has large experience in developing statistical computing software in the area of gene mapping and analysis of genomic data, and in applying these methods in animal and plant breeding. His research topics include: general quantitative genetics, QTL mapping (interval mapping, LD-LA mapping, association mapping), analysis of gene expression data, methods for analysis and use of genotyping-by-sequencing, genomic prediction, methods for multitrait and GxE analysis; with applications in plant, animal and human data.
