TITTLE: Recent advances in stomatal immunity mechanism
ABSTRACT:
Stomata, formed by pairs of guard cells, regulate gas exchange (e.g., CO2 uptake) for photosynthesis and transpiration, thus playing important roles in plant growth and water‑status regulation. On the other hand, stomata as natural openings are exploited by many pathogens as the major invasion routes. In this talk, I will introduce the recent advances in stomatal immunity mechanism, and also the relevance of stomatal biology to other research fields including ecology and food safety with an aim to initiate multidisciplinary collaborations.
